About me
I'm an award winning interdisciplinary artist whose work weaves across art, design, nature and science and futures. I've spent 20 years in the creative industries and I have an MA in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins.
The golden thread running through my art practice is connection - with each other and the natural world. I explore the tensions between our raw, natural instincts and the often conflicting cultural and societal expectations that guide us and mould us.
Current areas of exploration in my practice are the natural world (with a focus on wind and air, trees and moss) and ritual (using art to support transitions, mark moments, connect more meaningfully and celebrate or mourn). Data, nature and the climate crisis weave through my practice.
Artworks are concept-led and include painting, drawing, the written word, sculpture and digital artworks. Participation is built into my practice, bringing human stories into artworks as rich 'emotional' and scientific data.
I'm a northern lass, now London based.
If any of this resonates with you please don't hesitate to contact me - I'm always happy to connect with likeminded people.

EThics statement
I am passionate about using my art practice for good.
I create works that question and reflect our human experience and do as little harm as possible to all living beings.
Wherever possible I use regenerative principles in my art practice. This means I will try to grow or ethically and sustainably forage art materials (such as the moss, or the sapling trees I use in some of my artworks). If that isn't possible I try to use less, up-cycle, and source from ethical suppliers who have strong environmental credentials, or regenerative principles woven into their supply chain. In participatory activities I always try to ensure they are trauma-informed, a meaningful experience for all and are equitable and inclusive.
While it is sometimes not possible to be fully sustainable or regenerative, during the course of every art activity, whether painting in my studio or exhibiting in a gallery, I always consider the ethical implications of my practice. I consciously and actively review and adapt my approach, process and skills around DEI / ethics.
My ultimate aim is that my activities leave a positive legacy for the health of my daughter, all living beings, and the planet.
