About  me

I'm an award winning interdisciplinary artist whose work weaves across art, design, nature and science and futures. I've spent 20 years in the creative industries and I have an MA in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins.

The golden thread running through my art practice is connection - with each other and the natural world.
Current areas of exploration in my practice are wind and air, trees and moss and ritual (using art to support transitions, mark moments, connect more meaningfully and celebrate or mourn).  Data, nature and the climate crisis weave through my practice.

Artworks are concept-led and include painting, drawing, the written word, sculpture and digital artworks. Participation is built into my practice, bringing human stories into artworks as rich 'emotional' and scientific data.

In my design practice I am a UK Design Council Expert, working with them across multiple health, design for planet and systems design projects over the past 5 years. Selected art and design clients include the Wellcome Collection, Wellcome Trust, University of Sheffield, Carbon Neutral Newcastle, Dadcheck (Genomics company), Guerilla Science, UK Design Council, Climate Emergency Network, UK Science Festival Network, Kinetika (participatory community art experiences).

I'm a northern lass, now based in London, UK.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to collaborate with me.

EThics statement

I am passionate about using my art practice for positive impact. My work explores and reflects the human experience while striving to minimise harm to all living beings.

Whenever possible, I apply regenerative principles to my art. I aim to grow or sustainably forage materials, such as moss or sapling trees, for my artworks. If that's not feasible, I focus on reducing material use, upcycling, and sourcing from ethical suppliers with strong environmental or regenerative practices. In participatory projects, I ensure they are trauma-informed, meaningful, equitable, and inclusive.

While complete sustainability may not always be possible, I continuously consider the ethical implications of my work—whether painting in my studio or exhibiting in a gallery. I actively review and adapt my process and skills with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethics.

My ultimate goal is to leave a positive legacy for the health of my daughter, all living beings, and the planet.
