Project  Touch

Creating the artwork - a part of the process of understanding touch

Spending days disassembling hundreds of broken iPhone 5's was a task in itself.
I estimate I touched these phones between 20,000 - 30,000 times while making the artwork.

I got with glass in my fingers, my hands were red and sore from touching and interacting with the phones.
I damaged my back while making the artwork, which took months to heal.

Because of the intensity of the experience, I desired human touch more than ever before.
