ABOUT THE RESIDENCY
Situated on the beautiful island off the West coast of France is Île de Noirmoutier: an island with predominantly salt marsh and salt banks, sand dunes and evergreen oak forests.
Our residency will be located in a historical family home in Noirmoutier, 5 minutes walk from two beautiful sandy beaches and a 10 minute cycle into the heart of town. The accommodation is surrounded by lush forest, wild flowers and a grassed area with space for parking. In this residency you’ll be joined by a maximum of 10 people (including the hosts) from across creative, scientific and environmental backgrounds. The focus is on creativity, science and the natural world, and we encourage people from one or more of those backgrounds to apply with an idea, a creative project, or something else related. Put simply, this is an opportunity to spend time reflecting and/or creating in a beautiful natural environment alongside other curious people. Following the residency, in the Autumn / Winter of 2022 you may also have the opportunity to exhibit the work you created through the residency at an exhibition in the UK. This is TBC and optional. |
