coffee + ideas :: looking to meet interesting folks

One of the great things about freelancing/contracting is that I get to choose who I work with - generally my criteria is to work with talented and inspiring people, who I learn from, on game-changing projects which we all bring something to the table. 

Over the past few months I've been reflecting on areas of interest I'd like to explore further in my art and design practice. 

I'm looking to meet with interesting folks for coffee or tea over April and May to share thoughts, experiences and ideas in the following areas:

Areas of interest:

• Man made systems / cities / infrastructure / technology / new and emerging behaviours / how we want to live and thrive / climate change / impact of climate change on global systems / circular economy / anthropocene
• Natural systems / nature / sustainability / wilderness / rewilding / nature and creativity
• Creativity / workplaces / different modes of thinking / producing vs creating 
• Empathy / technology / designing experiences for empathy / using the arts to build and create empathy

Creativity

• How can creativity help us unlock different ways to navigate and design for an increasingly complex world/systems?
• How can we build creativity into the working day?
• How can we overcome existing future narratives (utopian / dystopian) to imagine (and then shape / influence / design) alternative futures?
• What is there was no art?
  
• How will creativity enhance culture - especially through periods of change and uncertainty?
  

Nature // cities 

• How can we integrate nature in our day-to-day lives?
• What is the impact of nature on our health and wellbeing?
• Should we encourage rewilding of our wilderness and our cities?
• How do we want to live in the future?

Empathy // tech

• How is technology impacting our behaviour and our ability to empathise and connect with others?
• How can we build empathic behaviours into the everyday?

Design // art

• How can design influence and improve the lives of artists? 
• How can art be used in the world of design?
